Rainbow - finished

My rainbow is done~~
I finished quilting for a while,
but tired on the binding.
cant find a suitable fabric,
cos all fabrics I bought from the set are fat quarter which is not enough for binding...

It's really not easy to stitch in curve.
need a lot of measurement and, a good iron!
few white pieces turn creamy yellow in colour cos I ironed them too much!


I love the quilting on the border very much.
this is the first time I quilt in curve, too.
it's wonder when seeing all the beautiful quilting lines come up from the white fabric.

actually I choose a wrong batting.
this one is very thick and supposed used for machine sewing.
I got something around 5 yards from my sewing teacher,
and really want to consume some of them!
the result is.... I broke 12 quilting needle!!!
hahaha..... that's experiment~


the whole pattern turned out just so gorgeous!!

Elephant

preparing for christmas...

It's a lovely afternoon.

with a clear sky, warm sun (but not burning hot!)

so I move out to the garden,

stitching under the sun and breeze,

with one or two butterflies flying around...

what a precious time in the year!

there are probably only 20 days in a year with this lovely weather!

Jamie has a animals party in school today.
So yesterday, I asked him what he would like to pretend.
i expected the answer will be lion, dog, or maybe panda.....
"elephant!"
that is a difficult one for mummy.....
cos it is not easy to find an elephant hat from market,
and it is not easy to make something "cute" to pretend an elephant!
so I kept asking him "what do you want to pretend honey?? a lion?? a ribbit?? panda??"
every 2 or 3 hours.
and the answer was still elephant....

so..... mummy got to make an elephant hat....
and this is what we come up with finally...



not bad! right??
Billy offered me lots of praise ^^
and the hat is just fit Jamie's head!

and we got a tail.......
